The city of San Antonio is a modest town in Zambales where Pundaquit can be visited. It is rich with sun kissed locals and wonderfully canvassed islands with crystal clear waters that will surely refresh your city skin.
Pundaquit in itself is a paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the city, most of the businesses are owned by locals or foreigners who made the quaint province their humble home. Is one of the best unsullied coves in Pundaquit. The cove is privately owned and properly maintained, with cottages available for day tour guests and overnight lodging. Talisayin Cove is the most tranquil and less commercialized compared to its neighboring coves.
It was long ago a private cove according to one of the locals there, but the government later on approved that the cove can be visited by the public. With its magnificent façade and crisp clear waters, the cove is surely a haven for people who want a serene holiday. It is favored for family and friends who long for a vacation that is inexpensive.
Bring your own food and prepare it under the shades of tall trees cared for by the locals that are advocates in keeping the cove clean for everyone. Explore Agnaem Cove
An untamed cove that is yet to be recognize, if you want to cut loose on the concrete jungles stress and demands, this is a great escape. With teeming forestry, fresh air, vibrant corals and pure crystal waters. Agnaem is a crescent shaped cove and it is the closest to the Pundaquit Area, it is accessible by foot or by boat.
The shore of Agnaem is tastefully inviting and will require you to relax once you set foot. You can bring food and drinks, and prepare them by charcoal. The cove is yet to be developed but there is an available convenient store to the rescue just in case you forget to bring all that you need.
Explore Camara Island
It is one of the nearest islands in Pundaquit, the travel time is only 15 to 20 minutes boat ride. The most visited for its close proximity with remarkable rock formation, crystalline waters and fine white sand. There is a patch of sand in the middle of this island but can only be visible during the low tide. A crowd of boatmen can entertain large groups or a minimum of 2 persons that can take you there safely.
The island is very popular not only for campers but for other functions such as TV Ads, TV shows, and local movies. Locals also enjoy the perks of living nearby; they only need coordinate with the local government if they want to arrange a wedding ceremony, or a photo shoot, and even other functions like receptions, birthdays, etc. This is according to some of the boatmen that were able to bear witness of the said events. Explore Capones Islands
Famous for its Faro de Punta Capones or commonly known at the Capones Lighthouse that was once served as a guide for ships in Subic Bay, it is a steep trek but definitely worth it once there. There is a short way going there but the shore is full of over sized corals and stones, it can also be accessed from the main shores of Capones but the trek is more intense and challenging.
The island is a stone’s throw from Camara Island and it is a much larger rock formation and boulders stacked one after the other.
